College Ave Women’s conference

We want to invite you for a weekend of worship, teaching, and fellowship as we gather together at College Ave Church! This conference is designed to encourage and equip women of all ages through the teaching of God’s Word, worship through music, and meaningful connections with one another. Whether you’re seeking spiritual growth, community, or simply a break from the daily grind, this weekend will be one of transformation and joy! We can’t wait to see you!

Dr. DOnna Thoennes

Hey I’m Donna! I currently teach in the Torrey Honors College at Biola University and serve on the pastoral staff at Grace Evangelical Free Church. I’m thankful to get to teach and write on topics from discipleship and Church life, to marriage and parenting.

I got to marry my high school sweetheart 35 years ago, and we have four beautiful children that look nothing like me! Caroline, Paige, Sam, and Isaac were adopted from Taiwan and China at ages 6-8 and are now 18-24.

I love hiking, gardening, hospitality, pickleball, and skiing amongst the Giant Sequoias! I’m looking forward to spending the weekend together as we dive into Scripture.

Psalm 46

While we are more than familiar with Psalm 46:10, “be still and know that I am God,” do we really know and experience the deep, life changing truth that comes from resting in God’s character? Our desire for the College Ave Women’s conference is to study this Psalm in full, to deepen our understanding of what it means to be still and know God; our refuge and strength, ever-present help, and sovereign King.

College Ave Music is our church's musical expression dedicated to glorifying the Lord by worshiping in "spirit and in truth."

With a focus on authenticity and scriptural accuracy, they aim to create an environment where the Lord's people can gather and behold the beauty of the King.
